big_picture_approach_to_weight_lossFocusing too much on one thing and not looking at the big picture can often not get us the desired outcome that we are after.  Today we are going to discuss a balanced approach to weight loss.

Wouldn’t it be so nice if all we had to do was just a little exercise and the body fat would all of the sudden just disappear off of our bodies?  If you are reading this you probably have already tried to exercise for weight loss and found that you still could not lose the weight.  Why is this?  The reason is because losing weight has a lot more factors involved with it than exercise alone.  Exercise has many health benefits besides helping your lose weight and should not ever be given up, it is extremely good for you.  When it comes to losing weight though we have to look at the big picture.  We should keep in mind all of the components involved and balance each one to get the weight off once and for all.

To begin, let’s first state that in order to lose weight we should be mentally into it, this means a desire and a want to achieve successful results.  If this part is missing, then it is going to be one tough journey ahead.  So, first we mentally need to be ready, and then mentally we should stick to the plan and follow through.  This mental state is one of the most important parts to long-term success.  Once you are mentally in, then comes the part of doing the right actions and steps that are involved to make it happen.  Following a plan is so much easier than just winging it.  So what is the plan?  The plan is to balance it out, here are the main factors and most involve who, what, where, when, and how.

  1. Eating, meals, supplementation
  2. Exercise and workouts
  3. Mental aspects
  4. Sleep and rest

There are more factors, but these are the main and important ones.  If you only focused on what you eat and your meals, then disregarded the other three, would you still lose weight?  You probably would, but it is not covering the complete picture and it could decrease the chances of long-term positive results.  We hope that you take it all in and follow the recipe.  It is not that big of a deal to lose weight when you go into it with a plan and a desire to make it happen.
