Be sure to keep nice and warm during the cold months this winter.  Don’t let the cold keep you stuck indoors all of the time, bundle up and get out there and have some fun.

snow_sledding_weight_lossThere are so many fun things to do in the snow, and just about all of them require some type of exercise.  This is excellent news for all of those who want to lose weight.  Kids truly enjoy snow because they can get some time off from school, but adults can now enjoy the snow because it gives them an opportunity to get into shape, lose weight, and become healthier.

What are the best activities to participate in when it snows to lose weight?  Snow sledding has to be the most favorite because it is so much fun.  You get to go with your friends and it feels so good to go so fast down the hill.  It is a lot of work for your fat cells to get your body up the hill time after time.  There are so many clothes on your body and some heavy boots, lifting up each foot to take a step takes a lot of energy to make it happen, not only that you walk up an incline which makes it that much more difficult.  The majority of the time is spent walking up the hill and only a few seconds are spent having the time of your life racing down the hill.  This is very similar to how real life is, we work most of the time and then we have moments of fun and excitement.

There is also snow shoveling and this can not be as much fun as the sledding, but can offer up some major exercise to burn fat and calories off of your body.  Be sure to keep good form when you snow shovel and drink a lot of water.  It gets quite hot in those clothes and you can end up sweating quite a bit, which is real good for your health and your skin.  Thank goodness for snow during the winter time, as it brings us all an opportunity to improve our health and it helps us lose weight.
