Cultural Snacking Another Great Idea By Acceletrim

Most of us love to travel. Our life long planned dreams consist of a mental map of visiting fun, exciting places all over the glove. Fortunately some of us are lucky enough to actually go out in the hemisphere and see some or all of the places that interest us.
The first time that we really get to go abroad, and by this I mean a country where the language is different and the culture is nothing else you have ever seen. Like France where everyone speaks French, eat baguettes, cheese and drink wine all day, or China where the culture and food is even more different.
Not only do we have to all of a sudden adjust to a different culture, language and but most importantly food. As we get deeper into our travels there are some thing that will bring back and will lover for the rest of our lives. One of these ingredients is really a great thing to have in the freezer for a whenever snack or when you are hungry and there is nothing else to eat.
Frozen Edamames, now days can be found just about anywhere. Not only do they taste great but also are really good for you if you are trying to lose weight. Edamamees not only taste great but also have great nutritional value, which makes for a perfect recipe when weight loss is trying to be accomplished.

These great little green pea pods offer:
* About 8 Grams of Dietary Fiber Per Cup
* 17 Grams of Protein per Cup
Along with other great vitamins and minerals.
How to Cook Them? It is really as simple as boiling water. All you need is a pot, water and salt. Boil the water, add a pinch of salt and whenever the water is boiling throw the edamames in for about five minutes or until cooked al dente. Don’t over cook them they wont be as crunchy and good. If you would like you can toss them with a little salt, but preferably not, since you have already added salt to the water.
Edamames along with many other foods of the world have been incorporated in our culture by other cultures and we should be very thankful, not only do they taste good but offer an option for those of us who have a tough time finding what to eat that is good for you.
